Reinvention with Dignity. Life After Disruption.

Dignified Reinvention™ offers a grounded path forward after life's unexpected disruptions.

I help people rebuild with greater stability, clarity, and self-compassion, without the pressure to rush forward or simply “bounce back.”

Because sometimes the hardest part isn't knowing what to do next. It's feeling ready to begin.

About Shannon

For more than 20 years, I built a career in empathetic communications across corporate, healthcare, and wellness sectors, always drawn to work rooted in connection, compassion, and meaningful impact.

Then, in midlife, my own life unraveled in ways I never imagined.

I experienced profound loss, survived domestic violence and homelessness, and navigated significant physical and mental health challenges. I know what it feels like to lose safety, stability, belonging, and hope.

But those experiences are not the whole of my story. They reshaped how I understand healing, resilience, and what it truly takes to rebuild.

I didn't pivot. I rebuilt.

Not by rushing forward, but by focusing on stability, restoring my health, and rebuilding a sense of safety from within.

Today, as a Mental Health Advocate, Peer Support Counsellor, and Certified Grief and Bereavement Counsellor, I bring together professional training, lived experience, and a trauma-informed, human-centred approach to supporting people through loss, major life transitions, and unexpected disruptions.

Drawing on CBT-informed approaches, I help people recognize and gently reframe painful thought patterns, rediscover their strengths, and move toward greater stability, clarity, and confidence as they rebuild.

I don't support people simply because I've experienced hardship. I do this work because I understand how profoundly healing it can be when someone chooses to walk beside you rather than judge you.

Alongside this work, I co-founded A Treasured Moment Events, a mother–daughter nonprofit creating moments of joy and connection for women and children living in shelters.

Through Dignified Reinvention™, I help people find a steady path forward; rooted in dignity, compassion, and sustainable change.

It's not about starting over. It's about rebuilding with dignity, from the inside out.

The Philosophy of Dignified Reinvention™

Reinvention is often portrayed as dramatic.

Quit everything.
Start over.
Prove yourself.

But Dignified Reinvention™ is not about speed.
It is not about spectacle.
And it is not about erasing your past.

It is a grounded approach to rebuilding after life disruption—one that begins with stability, self-awareness, and intentional forward movement.

This work is rooted in nervous system stability, honest reflection, and sustainable growth.

Reinvention isn't about becoming someone new.

It's about returning to yourself—steadier, clearer, and stronger than before.

That philosophy became the foundation for the R.E.S.T. Method™, a practical framework for navigating life's disruptions with intention and dignity.
